Unreal Tournament
2004
PC CD-ROM or DVD-ROM / Epic
Games / Atari / 2004 |
| CTF-Torinosu |
A sanctuary for migrating birds, the Liandri Corporation purchased
this facility from an eccentric conservationist and transformed
it into a small, brutal arena for capture-the-flag. One must
be as agile and fast as the hawks that fly overhead to survive...

| DM-1on1-Midori |
After their seminal challenger suffered a humiliating
defeat at the hands of the more skilled contestants in the last
Tournament, the Midori Institute commissioned a respected horticulture
laboratory to conduct experiments
on plants. The genetic manipulations were carried out on a secluded
island and included research into botanical regeneration in
a fervent attempt to create a warrior with such powers. Unfortunately,
the test specimens quickly grew beyond control and the island
was quarantined. Attempting to recuperate their losses, the
laboratory quietly sold the island to the Liandri Corporation,
who converted warehouse R-2 into a simple Tournament arena.

| DM-Axlegear |
The late Chancellor Rah'zor ruled his empire ruthlessly and
savagely. Those who opposed his cruel leadership found themselves
here. The screams that haunt the complex tell of the murder
and torture Rah'zor's dissenters endured. The recent investment
by the Liandri Corporation in the mad Chancellor's factory of
death will ensure his bloody legacy continues. |

High above a city drenched in a perpetual downpour
of rain, tournament gladiators duel in their favorite bloodsport.

Descent 3
PC CD-ROM / Outrage Entertainment / Interplay / 2000 |
| Zion |
Another fast-paced anarchy level, set high above
Earth. |
|
| Elysium |
Very fast-paced anarchy level! |
|
| Reactor Gamma |
An extensive single-player level for Descent 3. Like my previous
efforts, Reactor Gamma fuses the architecture of Descent 3 levels
with the arcade gameplay of the Descent 2 levels to create an
adrenaline-pumping 360º experience. The alien transmode
virus has infected the robots of a derelict PTMC fusion reactor.
It's up to you to lead a fight into the depths of the facility
to destroy the central core. Over 17,000 polygons in size with
custom soundtrack by Cougar. Exciting stuff! |
|
| Centroid Military Base |
This single-player offering for Descent 3 was modeled on a
previous work - the second level of Project: Mandrill for Descent
2. The basic compact structure is the same, but it has been
entirely rebuilt from scratch. There is a heavy emphasis on
explosions and action. Check out the escape sequence at the
end! |
|
| Halcyon |
Doubtless one of the most popular levels on Parallax Online
and that I've built in general, Halcyon is a no-frills capture-the-flag
level for Descent 3. Two symmetric bases are situated at the
ends of a lengthy hallway that must be traversed successfully.
Sniping points on both ends add to the fun in this fast-paced
multiplayer experience. |
|
| Sebek |
Sebek is a multiplayer level for 6-8 players. It supports
all forms of Anarchy and also Hoard. It has a very simple design
made complex by some intriguing and detailed architecture. |
|
| Quadcyon |
A four-team variant of Halcyon. Comes with a flag hack to
the green and yellow flags don't drift away from their respective
bases (a known flaw in Descent 3 version 1.4). |
|
| Deus |
Only my second level for Descent 3, Deus has two floors of
action and is mostly symmetrical. Best for 4-6 pilots. This
is the most recent version of Deus, which contains Quad Lasers
and refined architecture. |
|
| Zeta |
This is my first Descent 3 creation. It is big, oversized,
and ugly. Still, it does have a few amusing points of note,
including a set of turbo tunnels. |
|
Descent 2
PC CD-ROM / Parallax Software / Interplay / 1996 |
| Europa Glacier Mine |
A gift level for Maxx,
this one may represent my final work for Descent 2. In the icy
confines of a mine on Europa, Vertigo 7 seeks to destroy a command
robot infected with the alien transmode virus. This is a medium-sized
single player level with a briefing and credits. |
|
| Project: Mandrill |
The sequel to the Phobos Encounter, Project:
Mandrill was my last major work for Descent 2. This campaign
contains seven levels, a custom soundtrack, and almost every
robot is an entirely new design. These robots, called the Intellicons,
were developed by Post-Terran with sentient awareness in mind.
But, they made their machines too smart and the end result was
that they "decided" to turn against the PTMC. It's
up to Vertigo 7 to restore peace to the mines. |
|
| The Phobos Encounter |
This six level campaign follows the story of Dr. Phobos,
a former robot designer for the PTMC dismissed by Dravis and
who vowed revenge against the corporation. In his retribution,
he dispatched three of his most sophisticated robots to critical
facilities of the PTMC and its affiliates and took control of
them. Vertigo 7 is called upon to save the day and put an end
to Dr. Phobos' reign of terror. |
|
| Chasm |
A seven level campaign. The planet Keylark is the only known
source in the universe for a rare element known as Tridium,
a key material in the construction of so-called "Invulnerability
Orbs." In order to extract Tridium, gigantic shafts had
to be drilled right into Keylark's surface. The PTMC engineered
a plethora of robots to man these mines. Naturally, they went
berserk. |
|
| Wasabi |
Wasabi is Descent 2 Revival Level 5. A circular, lava-themed
mine with a large central room and two levels of hallways that
encompass it. Featured at D2 Revival #30. |
|
| Sukiyaki |
Sukiyaki is Descent 2 Revival Level 4. Distinguished by wide
hallways and a generally sprawling layout, Sukiyaki is perfect
for tunnel rats. There is virtually nowhere to hide. Featured
at D2 Revival #28. |
|
| Sylia |
Sylia is Descent 2 Revival Level 3. This is a rare ice level
with a rather unique layout that consists of angled hallways
that run squares around two darkened central chambers. They
are separated by some grating that has a neat silhouette effect.
Featured at D2 Revival #25. |
|
| Mach |
Mach is Descent 2 Revival Level 2. The look of this one is
best described as a dollar sign. It has a weaving lower tunnel
that is lined with lava at the bottom, and a long, straight
corridor on top. Very intense dogfighting action in this one
makes it one of the better Descent 2 multiplayer levels I have
designed. Featured at D2 Revival #23. |
|
| Mizu |
Mizu is Descent 2 Revival Level 1. My first foray back into
Descent 2 in several years, Mizu ushered in a new generation
of Descent 2 work from me. This is a cool, water-themed level
with an engaging layout. Featured at D2 Revival #21. |
|
| Macron Station |
This is Part 1 of the Lost Series. It was done a very long
time ago for the Militia Project, a single player campaign spearheaded
by Dynamo that never was finished. Nevertheless, the Macron
Station has a rather interesting layout, a challenging custom
robot, and some custom music to go with it. |
|
| Tekthra |
This is Part 2 of the Lost Series. For whatever reason, work
on Tekthra suddenly halted one day. With the exception of the
fact that the Reactor area is a bit on the dark side, it is
finished however. A single player level with an aquatic theme. |
|
| Tempest |
This is Part 3 of the Lost Series. A quartet of anarchy levels,
Tempest was a previously unreleased endeavor. It contains Acuran,
a small lava level; Splashdive, a really neat water level in
the shape of a harp; Cassandra, a level with a desert theme;
and Serpagon, an alien level. Each can hold up to 8 players. |
|
| Riptyde |
This is Part 4 of the Lost Series. This one is a bit peculiar.
Another water-themed multiplayer level, this one has a lot of
bridges and other details that would make my Pentium 60 crawl
like a snail back then. Of course, I'm sure it's of little consequence
today. |
|
| Riverbed |
This is Part 5 of the Lost Series. A very simple water level
with a symmetrical design and only consisting of 95 cubes. |
|
| Subterrania |
This is another water-themed anarchy level. As a special
bonus, it has robots and a reactor if you play it in solo mode. |
|
| Volcania |
Sister level of Subterrania, Volcania's claim to fame is
the huge volcano that adorns the upper portion of the level.
It also has robots if you prefer to go solo into the inferno. |
|
Descent
PC 3.5" floppy or CD-ROM / Parallax Software / Interplay
/ 1995 |
| Aurora Outpost |
My first level built with Descent Mission Builder
II instead of DEVIL, Aurora Outpost is a single-player level
for Descent 1. Infiltrate the Aurora Outpost and find the keys
to gain access to the Reactor chamber. As always, you must destroy
the Reactor and escape. Challenging gameplay with an engaging
layout, with a briefing and even an exit sequence (with customized
terrain texture!). |

FreeSpace 2
PC CD-ROM / Volition
Inc. / Interplay / 1999 |
| Nekhbet |
Stranded in deep space with a malfunctioning
reactor, the Vasudans ask for help in repairing and defense
the newly commissioned Hatshepsut destroyer, the GVD Nekhbet.
Alpha and Beta Wings respond and take action. Included on Volition's
Sci-Fi Sim of the Year Edition of FreeSpace 2. |
|
Descent: FreeSpace -
The Great War
PC CD-ROM / Volition
Inc. / Interplay / 1998 |
| Marathon |
The Vasudan destroyer Marathon is en route to
Aldebaran. However, a recently discovered Shivan cargo depot
blocks the way. The GTA dispatches Alpha and Beta Wings to destroy
the depot and then escort the Marathon to the Aldebaran Jump
Node. |
|
| Taranova 2: A Way Out |
Dredcon Station, a top-secret Shivan research installation,
has come under heavy Shivan attack. Alpha and Beta Wings commence
evacuation effort in order to rescue the personnel and valuable
computer mainframes from the Station. |
|
| Conflict at Taranova |
The Taranova Lab is expecting a shipment of parts needed to
repair war-damaged Hercules fighters. They will arrive via the
PVS Sandstorm and its escort, Aries Wing. Your mission is to
oversee this shipment. |
|
Red Faction
PC CD-ROM / Volition
Inc. / THQ / 2001 |
| DM-Mizu |
Bearing no relation at all to my Descent 2 anarchy
level of the same name, Mizu is my only Red Faction level. Sporting
a cool aquatic theme and several secret areas, Mizu should be
a great deathmatch level for 6-8 players. |
