deviantART *		A huge art nexus from all different genres, including furries.
Elfwood		This is a gigantic repository for sci-fi and fantasy artwork and stories. It is rather easy to get lost exploring this place due to its sheer vastness!
Fur Affinity *		After being down for a while, Fur Affinty is back. This is a site patterned after deviantART that caters to furries.
FurBid *		Bid on furry art and other items. Lots of cool artwork here!
Furnation *		This furry archive is different from the others in that artists can maintain their own web sites rather than submit them into an archive. It's not completely reliable, but a lot of artists still call it home.
Orlando Furry Archives *		Similar to Yerf, but with less restrictions on what can and cannot be posted.
VCL Anthropomorphic Image Library *		This is a massive archive of anthropomorphic images that has literally pages of updates each day!
Yerf		Used to be a furry art site specializing in clean artwork. Now is host to a forum.

Ad-Aware SE	Spyware and malware continue to be big problems on the Internet. Download this software to cleanse your computer of them.
AVG Free Edition	An anti-virus scanner. Ironically, despite being free, It's very effective at its job and it doesn't screw up your computer like McAfee or Norton can do.
Azureus	A nice BitTorrent client that offers features not found in the original. Unfortunately, it does require Java.
Blender	The free, open source 3D modeling tool. Although it may appear daunting at first, this is an extremely thorough tool. And you can't beat the price.
CDex	A great freeware program for ripping files from audio CDs and converting them to WAV or other compressed audio formats (MP3, OGG, etc).
Cerulean Studios	They make Trillian, a great application that unites various instant messengers into one program.
Crimson Editor	A suburb replacement for Notepad, this text editor offers a tabbed interface and syntax highlighting for many programming languages.
Filezilla	A great FTP program.
Foxit Reader	Like PDFs but hate Adobe's goofy, resource-hungry, and ever self-patching Acrobat Reader? Try this little PDF reader instead.
Gnucleus	For those who still file share, here's an interesting free, open-source program that connects to the Gnutella network. It can be tricky to set up. Your mileage may vary.
Google Earth	Think of it as a digital globe, letting you travel anywhere in the world.
ISO Recorder	A handy Windows "power toy" that lets you write ISO files to CDs.
Mozilla	Home of the best Internet browser and e-mail programs, Firefox and Thunderbird respectively.
OpenOffice.Org	A completely free office suite that includes, among other things, a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation maker, drawing, and math programs. Extremely awesome. I like this better than Microsoft Office!
Project Dogwaffle	A shareware paint program that tries to emulate brush, oil, and canvas painting on the computer.
Quicktime Alternative	Let me say, I truly loathe Apple's horrible and system-conquering Quicktime player. Quicktime Alternative gives you the same features, without Apple's perpetual lameness.
Quintessential Player	A pretty nice media player for music and movies and a decent alternative to the increasingly sucktastic Winamp.
Real Alternative	For all of those backward web sites that insist on Real media, try this program instead of Real's annoying client.
Semagic	Simple and intuitive client for writing LiveJournal and other blog systems.
StatBar	A cute program that lives on your desktop and reports usage statistics about your system, such as CPU and RAM usage, uptime, Internet connectivity, and made other options.
The Gimp (Windows)	Can't afford Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro? Try the Gimp! This paint program got its start on Linux and was later ported to Windows. It's totally free.
ZoneAlarm	A solid, firewall to protect your system. Make sure to get the free version they offer here.
